We were kindly invited to the Debenhams Spring/Summer 2010 Press Preview Show yesterday in London, and wow what an event is was!
They were showcasing all their designers latest styles due in-store in early 2010, and as one of the brands being featured, we were given a guided tour by Debenhams lovely PR Manager who showed us all around the amazing venue purposefully staged for the event across a whole floor of an elegant, grand old building in Central London (actually part of their head office behind oxford street!)
After seeing all the new lines on offer from a selection of well-known designers, we arrived at the beauty room, which seemed to be the busiest area of the whole event! Lots of editors, journalists, photographers from all the top magazines turning up throughout the day to see all the latest must-have brands for 2010 Debenhams were showcasing. I'm also very pleased to say that our products were being showcased at the Press Show for all the beauty editors to see & try. On display there was the full range of Famous Dave Self Tanning products, and the lucky editors visiting on the day also got to take home a goody bag full of leading cosmetic brands and beauty products (including a Famous Dave's Tanning Mousse) for them to try out and report back on.
The beauty area of the show commanded a lot of attention - its eye-catching layout and demonstrations of the various products taking place by the girls over the course of the day really drew people towards it, and I've heard back that our self tanning products went down extremely well with the press, which is always great to hear!
The event itself was staged beautifully - lots of interesting people mulling around the venue, champagne and canapes being served throughout the rooms - the perfect press show!
